v3 Migration

Odos is officially retiring the current API V2 and all partners must migrate to API V3, featuring a redesigned router, enhanced flexibility, and expanded monetization capabilities.

Alongside the V3 rollout, we're launching the Odos Partner Portal, a unified dashboard where partners can view real-time analytics, manage referral codes, and track API performance.

Migration Timeline​

  • Parallel Operation: The V2 and V3 APIs will run in parallel until Jan 30th, 2026.
    After this date, V2 will be fully retired and no longer accessible.
  • Migration Required: All partners and developers should migrate to V3 before Jan 30th, 2026 to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Post-Migration Options:
    • Continue using the free API tier with rate limits and transaction fees applied.
    • Register an API key or upgrade to a paid plan for higher throughput and advanced analytics through the Partner Portal.

Free Tier Availability​

Odos will continue to provide a free API tier, rate-limited to:

  • 1 request per second (RPS)
  • 1,000 requests per day

Partners who require higher throughput may register an API key or upgrade their plan to unlock higher rate limits, including support for sustained throughput above 10 RPS.

Same Address Across All Chains​

The V3 router is deployed at the same address on all supported EVM chains: 0x0D05a7D3448512B78fa8A9e46c4872C88C4a0D05

This uniform deployment streamlines multi-chain integrations and simplifies contract management.

Output Hooks​

Router V3 introduces Output Hooks, allowing post-swap logic execution in a single transaction. Hooks can:

  • Deposit swap outputs directly into cross-chain bridges
  • Mint NFTs such as concentrated liquidity or staking positions
  • Stake tokens into vote-escrow or yield systems
  • Trigger custom actions like distributing rewards or migrating liquidity

Referral Code Rework​

Referral codes are now managed off-chain, giving developers complete control over:

  • Custom fees and recipients per quote
  • Chain-agnostic referral management
  • Flexible monetization strategies (for example, per-token or per-partner fees)

No more on-chain registration required.

Permit2 Support​

V3 fully supports Permit2, enabling easier token approvals and gas-efficient integrations for API partners and wallet providers.

Administrative Upgrades​

  • Liquidator Role: Delegates permission to manage router revenue without transferring ownership.
  • Ownable2Step: Adds secure two-step ownership transfers for safer administration.
